Who Can Join?

Boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade. Kids meet in small groups called dens with others in their grade, and each grade has its own Cub Scout rank.

What Do Cub Scouts Actually Do?

Camping & Outdoors
Pack camping trips every October and May.
Pinewood Derby
Build a car, then race it down the track.
Outdoor Skills
Fire safety, knots, and cooking at camp.
Hiking & Exploring
Trails, parks, and places around town.
Building & Creating
Rockets, boats, carnival games, and more.
Games & Fun
Plenty of plain old fun at every meeting.

A Year With Pack 577

No two years look exactly the same, but here's what a year in the pack usually includes.

September
Den and pack meetings start for the year, with an open house for new families.
October
Fall pack camping trip.
November
Service project.
December
Marching in Ambler's Holiday Parade.
February
Rock climbing.
March
The Pinewood Derby! Every Scout builds and races a car.
May
Spring pack camping trip.
June
The Raingutter Regatta (boats you build yourself) and our end-of-year picnic.
All Year
Monthly hikes, plus den and pack meetings.

Cub Scouts Is for Families, Too

Cub Scouts isn’t another lesson you drop your kid off at. Parents build Pinewood Derby cars with their Scouts, come along on campouts, and cheer at pack meetings. You don’t need any Scouting or camping experience. We’ll show you everything.

We’re a family pack, so brothers and sisters are welcome at our events too.
