Camping & Outdoors

The whole pack goes camping twice a year, in October and May. Families camp together, and Scouts get to try things like archery, hiking, and cooking over a fire. Never camped before? That’s completely normal, and we’ll help you with everything you need.

Pinewood Derby cars lined up for race day

Pinewood Derby

Every Scout gets a block of wood, four wheels, and a few weeks to turn them into a race car. Then comes race day, when the whole pack gathers to cheer as the cars fly down the track. It’s one of the most exciting days of the year.

The racing doesn’t stop there. In June, Scouts build sailboats for the Raingutter Regatta.

Visiting the police station

Hikes & Trips

The pack goes on a hike every month, and heads out for trips like rock climbing each winter. Dens also take trips around town to see how things work, like a visit to the local police station.

Skills & Adventures

Each grade works on its own set of Adventures: hands-on activities covering things like the outdoors, science, building, cooking, first aid, and being a good citizen. Scouts earn badges along the way, but mostly they’re just learning by doing.
